I gotta tell you, lately I've been hearing more and more kats bringing the lyrical heat to the table! For me, this is very refreshing, given that the reason I got into making beats to begin with, was due to inspiration from lyrical artists that I grew up listening to in the 90's era of hip hop. And while all I kept hearing was more and more trap tracks, it's good to know that there are still a variety of lyrical artists out there taking pride in their music. And this kat does exactly that, and continues to push the envelope with his music, earning him true Bragging Rights!
I had to play on the words a bit, as the name of this talented artist's masterpiece, is entitled "
Bragging Rights". Check out one of the tracks, "Blue Visa" below!
Pipedream Music Group proudly presents
Mr. Fritz and his release, "
Bragging Rights". This album provides you with 13 bangin' tracks, along with four skits (remember back in the day when albums had skits?), and two bonus tracks! Mr. Fritz put a lot of heart and soul into making this album blaze, showing his passion and enthusiasm for hip hop music. The 25 year old rapper / producer also went in to get guest features by a variety of artists, such as
Dutch Rebelle, Latrell James, Top Billion, Galaxy, E.G.O., Matthew Rosewood, Arianna Lashea, M. Card, and
Ora Slick, adding to the versatility for this album.
To take the versatility even further,
Mr. Fritz also features several producers on his album, such as
Johnny Juliano, 5 Star Generals, Duce P, Taz Taylor, GarudasHellMuzik, WarBeats, and
Hucktana Belvidere, in addition to himself. This really adds to the spice and flava of this album, but then, I'm one who also believes in versatility and having variety, whether on an album, your beat catalog, and so on. And Mr. Fritz does a great job at making sure this album has a blend of different flava.
Some of the tracks that really caught my ear, was Blue Visa, The Illest, and The Cool Kids. These in particular had me really enjoyin' the tracks and giving me a moment to reminisce about what made me love hip hop to begin with. The lyrical wordplay is on point, the delivery is solid, and the beats on these tracks bring the tracks home! The Ric Flair skit was interesting too given I used to watch WWE (when it was WWF) Wrestling.
All in all, this album is a solid album.
Mr. Fritz and
Lindsey Gamble did a great job producing this album altogether, and with the variety of artists and producers who also contributed their works onto this album, it is easy to see why more and more people
download the album on a daily basis! I look forward to seeing the next piece of work that Mr. Fritz puts together, especially if it has this kind of variety. Perhaps I can even lend a contribution for it as well with a boom bap type
east coast beat.
Definitely wanted to give Mr. Fritz a shoutout for this piece of work. Great album altogether, nice production, solid variety, definitely worth the listen and download! Be sure to pick up your copy today and start bumpin' it! You can follow Mr. Fritz and PipeDream Music on Twitter as well at
