Dark Rap Instrumentals - Does It Provoke Death Or Is It Just Aggressive?

There's often a lot of debate about whether dark rap instrumentals are just aggressive in nature, or if they call out the beast from within, making lyrical havoc occur in reality.  I personally don't think it's so much that music causes actions to be done... though some always want to blame musicians for their suicide attempts or their murder sprees.  So do dark rap instrumentals cause the same issue?

Most horrorcore rap artists are the ones that prefer the darkest of rap beats to use in their mixtapes or albums.  Horrorcore rappers are known to have a very vulgar and descriptive array of bloodshed, mayhem, and dismemberment going on, among other topics that are brought about.  But if the case were that music such as dark hip hop music influenced others to kill people all the time, would there not be a whole lot more dead bodies that would be reported all over the news?  I know murder happens all the time, but horrorcore rap is not necessarily thug rap in respect to a shooting or stabbing going on... it's much more graphic in nature, so the bloodbath would be much more severe.  And besides, I also don't feel like thug rap is responsible for murders... I feel that the people themselves are responsible for the murders they commit.  Their minds may not have been strong to begin with, so all they need and want is an excuse to push them over the edge... and music always gets the blame.

That said, while I definitely don't condone murder or horror to occur in real life, I do respect art and creativity and what the horrorcore rapper can deliver to dark rap instrumentals.  Let's compare it for a moment... there are pictures in museums and art galleries that depict bloodshed beyond measure... so do you see a lot of art critics and curators going out to slay people?  No.  And horrorcore rap and dark hip hop instrumentals to me is the equivalent of a painting of horror to a gallery... it is a work of art just like any other work of art out there.  Dark rap is here to stay, as are the instrumentals across the internet, including the horrorcore hip hop instrumentals on Genycis.com.  Much respect... just my thoughts.  So what are yours?  Feel free to post your comments...
